FACT:REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD BE SLEEPING ON YOUR LEFT SIDE

Everyone knows that sleep is very important
for maintaining a good physical and mental
health. However, the duration of your sleep is
just as important as the way in which you
sleep. Your sleep position can influence your
health, help in keeping your skin look young,
and improve your digestive health.
Furthermore, sleeping on the left side of your
body can even save your life. If you are
currently sleeping in another position, keep
reading to find out why you should start
sleeping on your left side right now.

IT MATTERS WHICH SIDE YOU SLEEP ON

There are several sleeping positions – your
front, your back, your left side, and your right
side – and they all affect your health.
Sleeping on the back can be particularly
dangerous for people with sleep apnea or
asthma, because it can cause breathing
difficulties.
Sleeping on the right side is likely to worsen
digestion problems, whereas sleeping on the
left side may improve digestive symptoms.

BENEFITS OF SLEEPING ON YOUR LEFT SIDE

Sleeping on the left side is believed to greatly
improve the health and even save lives. In
holistic medicine, the left side of the body is
the dominant lymphatic side, and while you’re
sleeping on this side, your body will have more
time to filter toxins, lymph fluid, and waste
through the thoracic duct and the lymph
nodes.
On the other hand, sleeping on your right side
may cause your lymphatic system to run more
slowly. You don’t want this to happen,
because a lymphatic system that doesn’t run
at full efficiency can become incapable of
filtering toxins or properly moving lymph fluid
throughout the body. This increases your risk
of deadly diseases due to the build-up of
toxins.
When you start sleeping on your left side, you
might notice your body becoming more
efficient at toxin disposal through waste. This
happens because this position improves the
digestive system, and allows your body to
promptly extract nutrients and dispose toxins.

LEARN TO SLEEP IN THIS POSITION

If you normally sleep on your back, your front,
or your right side, you might wonder how to
break that habit and start sleeping on your left
side. This will take some time and practice,
but it is possible to quickly train your body to
sleep in this position. Here are some tips:
You can try lying on your left side and press a
full-length body pillow up against your back.
The pillow will prevent you from rolling over
during the night.
Try switching the side of the bed you sleep
on. This will make it easier for you to flip to
your other side and enjoy the same sleeping
experience.
Another trick is to keep a dim light lit on your
right side. Since your body will naturally want
to turn away from the light during sleep, it will
make it easier for you to sleep on your left
side.
Try these small changes as soon as you can –
they will improve your sleep routine and lead
you to a better health.

Solutions to the problems are: Provision of security, encouragement of all gender, freedom of speech and expression law should be enforced, citizen enlightenment and education about the media, there should be support for all genders to practice journalism.

        CONSTITUTED AUTHORITY

Hope u all enjoyed this piece, comment to share your thoughts. Thanks and God bless.

CLASS NOTE :COMPUTER PACKAGES (10/08/15)

On Monday after Taxonomy, we had computer at 7 pm. Before the class, there was a last-minute rush for the copying and submission of the assignment which the lecturer gave in his last class. This assignment questions and answers were exclusively available on Yaba Pulse.
Most of the class time was wasted by the lecturer who came to the class late and laughed unnecessarily occasionally. There was light out and darkness for some minutes after he came in and it lasted for about 20 minutes. He used most of the time to distribute textbooks to the students who had paid for them to Jesse, the course rep.
Finally, the class commenced by 7:45PM and he basically gave us this semester's course outline and here are some of the highlights:
1. To know the existing Application Packages.
2. To understand Word Processing  Packages.
3. Electronic Spreadsheet.
4. To understand the Fundamentals of Accounting Packages.
5. To understand Presentation Packages.
The lecturer continued with his strict attitude and approach as he attended to anyone who made noise by sending them out of his class. The class was occasionally disrupted and it was even delayed for about 10-15 minutes because of a 'lady in black' didn't leave his class after he ordered her to. She eventually left and class continued till 8 45PM where it was ended.
Quite an eventful day, hope you guys enjoyed this piece. Your Comments and suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you all.

NEWS : WE ARE IN TROUBLE ECONOMICALLY - BUHARI

"The trial of former public officers who
looted the national treasury and stashed the
funds in foreign banks will commence in few
weeks".These were the words of President Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday, when he met members of the National Peace Committee led by former Head of
State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar at the
Presidential Villa, Abuja.
General Abubakar, however, advised President Buhari to follow due process in the prosecution of corrupt officials, reminding him that Nigeria was no longer in a military regime.
President Buhari, who vowed to break the vicious cycle of corruption, unemployment and insecurity in Nigeria, stated that his administration would not only ensure that stolen monies stashed in foreign bank accounts were returned but that the looters must be tried..He disclosed that he was gathering documents
which would serve as evidence against
suspected culprits in the anti-corruption war.
The meeting between President Buhari and the
committee, it was gathered, followed an earlier
meeting with the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,
during which committee members were told of
the persecution that members of the PDP were
facing in the hands of the new governing party.
“Nigeria has to break this vicious cycle before
we can make progress,” the President said.
The President, who regretted the sorry state of
the country’s finances also told the committee
that as part of his actions to address the
national problems he inherited, he has ordered
the reorganization of Nigeria’s revenue
generating institutions..
Buh explained that a single treasury account had
been established for all federal revenue to
ensure greater probity, transparency and
accountability in the collection, disbursement and
utilisation of national funds.
His words: “We have really degenerated as a
country. Our national institutions, including the
military, which did wonderfully on foreign
missions in the past, have been compromised.
But we are doing something about it. The
military is now retraining and morale has been
resuscitated.
“As Petroleum Minister under Gen. Olusegun
Obasanjo in the 1970s, I could not travel abroad
until I had taken a memo to the Federal
Executive Council asking for estacode. Now,
everybody does what he wants. That is why
security-wise, and economically, we’re in trouble.
Those who have stolen the national wealth will
be in court in a matter of weeks and Nigerians
will know those who have short-changed them.”
The National Peace Committee, then asked him
to follow due process in the anti-graft war.
They also reminded the President that Nigeria is
not under a military regime, stressing that
everyone suspected to have committed any
crime was assumed innocent until proven guilty
by a court of competent jurisdiction.
Rising from the meeting held behind closed-
doors in the Presidential Villa, the committee
remarked that though corruption was not to be
condoned, the process of prosecuting suspects
has to be constitutional.
Speaking to State House Correspondents on
behalf of the committee, the Catholic Bishop of
Sokoto Diocese, Dr. Matthew Hassan Kukah, who
confirmed the meeting with former President
Goodluck Jonathan, however, said the former
president never begged for their intervention.
According to him, the meeting was a hearing-out
process.
“We gave a bit of update about the relevance of
the Peace Committee itself and how we can help
to nurture what God has given to us. Anybody is
free to come to our committee but President
Jonathan never by telephone or another means
talked to the committee. We went to see him,
but that was after we had already seen members
of the political party, members of the civil
society; we plan to see the Speaker because we
couldn’t see him yesterday.
“This is a very planned series of interventions
essentially just to hear out everybody and I think
the good news is that Nigerians are committed
to a new nation. They are committed to ensuring
that the gains and blessings God has given us
come to fruition.
Due process must be followed —Peace
committee
“This is not an intervention, it is a hearing out
process. When we had election, it was like a
wedding, now the reality of government is the
marriage and people need to be encouraged. We
need to reaffirm that this is our country and the
only thing we can collectively be opposed to is
injustice, inequity, corruption and in that regard
we all had one single conversation.
“The President has also reaffirmed the need for
this committee to continue and the international
committee has very much welcomed the
contributions of the committee. Essentially we
are not policing, but when the need arises, we
will help to build confidence in the process.
“It is not heating up the polity. In our
conversation with former President Jonathan and
members of the parties, I don’t think any
Nigerian is in favour of corruption or is against
the President’s commitment to ensuring that we
turn a new leaf. I think what we are concerned
about is the process. It is no longer a military
regime and under our existing laws, everybody is
innocent until proven guilty. The trial of former public officers who

NEWS: UNILAG DISOWNS LECTURER WHO RAPED ADMISSION SEEKER

Authorities of the University of Lagos on Sunday
disowned the randy lecturer, Dr. Akin Baruwa,
who reportedly raped an 18-year-old admission
seeker.
Baruwa allegedly raped the young girl (name
withheld), who is seeking admission to the
university, in his office on July 23, 2015.

The lecturer, currently in detention at the Kirikiri
Prison, was arraigned before an Ikeja
Magistrate’s Court, Lagos, on Thursday.
But speaking with our correspondent on Sunday,
the Head, Information Unit of the university, Mr.
Olagoke Oke, said Baruwa was not an employee
of the institution.
According to him, no such name exists on the
university’s employee list whether teaching or
non-teaching.
He added, “The said Dr. Baruwa is a not a
member of staff of the university, whether
teaching or non-teaching. He also does not
belong to the part-time or full-time teaching staff
of the school. His name is not on the master list
of workers of the university. I have checked the
staff list using his full name and initials and
could not come up with any such name as of
Friday, August 6, 2015.
“I have also checked the list of office
accommodation given to members of staff of the
university and his name is not there. There is no
office allocation attached to such a name. How
he reportedly entered the said office where the
crime took place is what we are looking into as
an institution.
“While we sympathise with the alleged victim, we
are ready to cooperate with every agency of
government to get to the root of the matter as
soon as possible. As an institution, we do not
support any act of violence, not even against
women. Therefore, we will help to ensure that
the case comes to a logical conclusion.”
Meanwhile, as the authorities disowned the
lecturer, some students, in the Faculty of
Business Administration, who craved anonymity
for fear of victimisation, claimed that the
suspect was a part-time lecturer of the
accounting department of the university.
One of them said, “I know him as a part-time
lecturer in the accounting department. I wonder
what the university wants to achieve now by
trying to disown him.”
The Dean of the Faculty of Business
Administration, Prof. Rasheed Ojikutu, could not
be reached as of 6pm on Sunday.
Baruwa, who the police in Lagos arrested on
August 3, reportedly confessed to the act but
claimed that the sex was by mutual consent

MEDICAL DOCTOR:MEN SHOULD STOP SUCKING THEIR WIVES' BREAST

What's this?
Before now, we were told that helping ladies such their breast can reduce the risk of cancer. But now this. Prof Wale Oke, the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) has called on mento stop competing with their  babies to suck the wives’ breast.

The medical doctor has begged his fellow mto allow babies to enjoy their natural meal.He spoke at the World Breastfeeding Week onThursday. The programme was organised by LASUTH and its Community Health Department in conjunction with the hospital’s Pediatrics.
According to him, the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding were many. He said: “When a
mother breastfeeds her baby, it creates bond between them. It is also a natural family mechanism. Breast-feeding mothers do not have bone diseases, breast and ovarian cancers..
Doctor Oke urged mothers who are working to also breastfeed, saying “working and breastfeeding can go together if mothers try because it is necessary to have healthy babies.

THESE ARE SOME STUPID THINGS NIGERIAN LADIES DO JUST TO IMPRESS OR SHOW OFF..

You know Almost everyone wants to feel
important and also give the impression that they
are “big girls and boy”. A lot of women, in a bid
to try to impress other people and belong, have
done some “foolish” things.
We’ve all been there at some one point or the
other in our lives. It’s a position almost every
lady has found herself in at one point or the
other.
So desperate are we to create a false
impression and belong that we go way out of our
comfort zone and make a total mess of
ourselves.
The truth is that at that moment, we are feeling
cool with ourselves, thinking we are having a
swell time but later we get to realize, they are
not as cool as we thought.
Let’s take a look at some of the “dumb” things
ladies do just because they want to create a
false impression or they want to belong.
1. Shoepidity (Wearing ridiculously
uncomfortable shoes just so you look hot) : Have
you ever seen some ladies walking awkwardly on
the streets with their very high heeled shoes?
That is what we call shoepidity. It is not
comfortable in any way, you are in pains and
you’ve even got blisters but still you insist on
wearing it, trying to impress God knows who.
Some ladies would buy a shoe that’s not their
size and force themselves to wear it just
because they want to impress a certain somebody.

Ladies, why are you putting yourself
in pain because you want to belong? If you don’t
have a car and you must wear those heels to an
occasion, help yourself by wearing a comfortable
flat and carry the heels in your bag till you get to
your destination.
2. Taking private drops : A lot of ladies are guilty
of this. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying it is
wrong to take cabs but when you know you are
not buoyant enough, take a public bus. It is very
clear that taking public transport is way cheaper
but some would rather take a cab even when
they are down financially just because they want
to create this false impression that they are “big
girls”.
3. Buy things they can’t afford : Some ladies walk
into a shop and they tell them the price of
something which they know is way out of their
budget. They still go ahead to buy it, maybe
because a cute guy is standing close by or they
are with their friends and they don’t want to ‘fall
their hands’.
4. Shop at expensive stores: Dear ladies, just
because your friend shops at an expensive store
does not mean you have to follow suit. You have
no idea how she makes her money. You could
the same thing your friend bought very expensive
at that store for a cheaper price in another store.
Stay true to yourself and shop where you can
afford.
4. Buying expensive asoebi dress : Nigerians are
familiar with the Asoebi trend. Some ladies will
do anything just to be among those wearing
asoebi even if they have to borrow money. Some
ladies actually get hooked to their future
husbands during wedding especially when they
belong to asoebi ladies. Believing that they might
be one of those lucky ladies, some would buy
expensive asoebi dresses even when they have
no money to pay for it.
5. Starve yourself: Some ladies when they go out
with a guy will be forming, “I am not hungry”,
even when they are famished. Some would order
for a very light meal just so they appear posh
and classy. If you and this guy hit it off and you
become more, he’s going to one day see you
really dig into food, so quit pretending and be
you.
There’s no need trying to impress people who
don’t even care. People are going to like if they
want to, irrespective of what you do. You lose
friends by being fake. If you want to really
impress people, do something useful, which will
win you more fans rather than engage in dumb
behaviours that will hurt you and drain your
pockets.
What other “foolish” things are women guilty of?

NEWS : PERU SET TO PROVIDE 2 MILLION SOLAR PANELS TO ITS POOREST RESIDENTS

Peru has always been such a sacred place.
People from all over the world travel there to
find themselves, have a spiritual journey or just
enjoy the majesty of the country.
Now, the country of Peru aims to provide free
electricity to over 2 million of its poorest
residents by harnessing the power of the sun.

Jorge Merino, the Energy and Mining Minister of
Peru, says that the National Photovoltaic
Household Electrification Program will provide
electricity to poor households through the
installation of photovoltaic panels.
As reported by the Latin America Herald Tribune ,
the first part of the initiative is to provide solar
systems to 500,000 extremely poor households
in areas that lack even basic access to the
power grid. The program will provide a massive
opportunity for domestic solar installers, and
Merino has said that bidding for the contract
will open later this year to fix the rest of the
panels.
First started in Contumaza, a province in the
northeastern region of Cajamarca, the project
has already allowed 1,601 solar panels to be
installed.

According to the energy minister, when the
project is finished, the scheme will allow 95% of
Peru to have access to electricity by the end of
2016, whereas at present, only 66% of the
country’s population has access.
Said Merine:
“This program is aimed at the poorest
people, those who lack access to electric
lighting and still use oil lamps, spending
their own resources to pay for fuels that
harm their health.”
This commendable project certainly makes one
ponder the possibilities for more prosperous
countries if Peru can accomplish this feat for its
people.

THE CRUCIAL JUDGMENT (Matthew 25:31-46).

Memory Verse: "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire". Revelation 20:15.

The Bible stipulates that the destiny of man is judgment. The judgment is not miss but individual. The Bible distinguished between the book of life for the just and the lake of fire for the unjust. The judgment will be based on written testimony of the individual. The sheep(saints) will be sent into everlasting life, while the goat(sinner) will be sent into fire.
     Types Of Judgment are:
1. The White Throne Judgment (for Sinners): This is the type of judgment that leads to the lake of fire. They that will be tormented day and night in the lake of fire are: The dead whose names  were not in the book of life, the Devil, the beast, the false prophets, the fearful who compromise their faith to please man, the sorcerers, the whore mongers and the idolaters, murderers, killers, thieves etc
2. The Judgment of Believers:This is the judgment of works, words, thoughts, secrets of believers, Believers whose work shall be burnt shall suffer loss.(1 cor 3:15), Believers who engage in eye service  etc.
CONCLUSION: Be not deceived, God is not mocked. Whatever man soweth so shall he also reap, whether corruption to the flesh or life everlasting to the spirit.- Galatians 6:7-8.
